The Product Owner brings knowledge of software technology (e.g. websites, applications, enterprise services, platforms), business value prioritization methods, critical path dependency identification and solution options for stakeholders in accordance with their vision and goals focused on business value. The PO translates goals and objectives into iterative deliverables for implementation. Balancing competing factors (discovery, dependencies, mitigation of risks, highest-ROI, etc.) to prioritize the backlog to ensure optimal delivery. Manages ongoing negotiation of time, scope and plan of attack with business stakeholders. Empathetically communicates risk, tradeoffs, status, and targets for delivery of the team’s work in timely and adaptive fashion.
