Team
Overview

As EDC aims
to be the leader in helping all Canadian exporters go, grow and succeed
internationally, the marketing team has an ambitious agenda to deepen exporter
engagement through digital capabilities and data driven marketing programs. As
part of the business development group, the marketing team is seeking a Student
to support its digital program in an effort to increase awareness of EDC across
current and potential Canadian exporters.

Aspiring to
be the digital platform for all exporters in Canada, EDC aims to service the
total spectrum of exporter needs (information, knowledge, advisory and
financial products) while allowing them to connect amongst themselves and other
professionals. Relying on effective relationship building, the Student is expected
to assist with projects across the various marketing functions; brand, digital
platform, CX, analytics, global demand generation and marketing strategy and
effectiveness.

Responsibilities
  • Support and assist with the execution of the marketing strategic plan
  • Support Marketing campaigns
  • Assist with social media effort (LinkedIn, YouTube, Twitter, Blogging)
  • Support Email marketing and other promotional projects
  • Support presentation creation, content formatting, layout and graphics
  • Assist with event and tradeshow coordination and graphics
  • Special project research and coordination
  • Other sales support and administrative duties as assigned
  • Manage relationships with vendors, internal clients and subject matter experts
Our ideal
student
  • Student enrolled or recently graduated from a Bachelor of Commerce with a specialization in Marketing
  • Experience with Marketing Automation Software and/or other digital marketing media functions
  • Basic layout and typography skills
  • B2B experience with social media sites
  • Ability to organize multiple deadlines while demonstrating flexibility and the ability to organize and perform multiple tasks concurrently and efficiently
  • Team player that is reliable, flexible, helpful and works well in a collaborative environment
  • Detail-oriented, superior organizational and project management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Fast learner, highly motivated, self-starter and creative
  • Client-centric and service oriented positive attitude
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Strong visual communication skills.
  • Multi-task oriented, a creative-thinker and problem-solver
