E1 Professional Door and Glass Sales Rep At explore1.ca Ltd

Job Description

*The ideal candidate for this position is either someone intimately connected to the property management industry or an experienced industry person (like a glazier) for some reason or another is seeking to move from the field to a sales position. We need someone that either has good industry connections or a high level and technical skills in the glass and door industry.

We are a growing glass and door company in the GTA with an opportunity for career-minded Technical Sale Representative.

Explore1.ca offers a full range of glass and door services in both ICI contracting and service roles. We actively pursue projects with contract values from 10k to 2 million dollars. We prefer specialty type work with high value materials and large scale or oversized glass. We also seek custom entrance ways and automatic door installations.

On the service side we repair a full range of commercial doors : Swing, Balanced, Revolving, Sliding and Folding Grill Doors. We also service the full range of automatic door operators and we are the #1 Dealer of Tormax Automatics in Canada. (Automatic door operators are a rapidly growing segment of our business.)

We are seeking a seasoned sales person preferable with industry experience and contacts to join our team. This is a great position with solid pre-existing accounts and lots of potential for growth. Your primary customers will be property and facility managers and building operators. We work solely in the commercial spectrum therefore there is no residential sales required. We are strictly B2B.

Our goal is to make you successful. We belong to every commercial and retail networking organization relevant to our industry. We attend PM Expo every year with sponsored networking events. We work hard to be the industry leaders in glass and door service. We invest in our people. Our technician are well trained and skilled with ample experience providing glass and door solutions to some of the GTA's most demanding clients. Our service trucks are loaded with more parts inventory than any other glass and door service company in the GTA. Our business administration technology is second to none which mean that unlike our competitors, ours invoicing practices are "rock solid" consistent making ours a product you can sell with confidence. You will never be blindsided working for us.

This position requires well honed basic sales skills. You should also be good with a smart phone and be solid with MS Excel and MS Word. You must have excellent organizational skills and be able to quickly comprehend the scope of a job being presented to you and find the appropriate sell-able solution. You will need (at and a minimum) an entry level knowledge of curtain wall and window assemblies as well as an understanding of doors and heavy glass installations.

Working with an estimator you will be responsible to create accurate quotes that give us the opportunity to be profitable. You will also service existing account on a regular basis by building and maintaining relationships with your account base over time. Building these relationships is critical to winning bids on a consistent basis and acquiring ongoing unquoted service work.

As part of our team you will be supported by the most experienced management group in the glass and door service industry. We are a fair minded and ethical company however we expect results and don't have time or space for those that overstate their ability or drive and can't deliver.

The compensation package includes a salary, commission, car allowance or car, and benefits.
