Technical Support Analyst At ExperTech Personnel Services Inc.

Location: Montréal, Quebec

Job Description

ExperTech is a leading staffing and recruiting company, based in Montreal, QC and operating throughout Canada and the US. We work with local and international companies across a wide array of industries.

We are currently looking for a Support Analyst (Level 1) to join a client of ours in Laval on a full-time, permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing company with great pay and benefits.

Role Summary:

The successful candidate will function as a front-line technical contact to end-users in need of troubleshooting, or information. The candidate is required to be available for rotating shift work once every few weeks. This includes evenings, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities:

  • Function as front-line technical contact for our customers, dealers and end-users during service requests
  • Prioritize incoming cases by severity, gather all relevant technical information, and escalate issues to proper channels when necessary
  • Determine causes and solutions to technical issues through detailed exploration with the end-user
  • Explore and/or isolate hardware, software, VM Host, and networking issues
  • Strict adherence to company client services process guidelines

Requirements:

  • 1 - 2 years of experience in technical support. Experience supporting telecommunications considered an asset
  • Working knowledge of networking systems, including Microsoft Server, operating systems, software installations, MS/SQL and Active Directory
  • Excellent verbal & written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working with web-based applications
  • Availability to work evenings, overnight and/or weekend shifts on rotation is mandatory
