VP of Product Marketing for EMS At Experian

Location: Schaumburg, Illinois

Job Description

Position Summary:

The Vice President of Product Management and Marketing for Experian Marketing Services (EMS) will manage the complete portfolio of products, product marketing and Marcom for the EMS line of business.
This is a key leadership role with the responsibility of developing strong product methodologies and business practices – leveraging Experian capabilities across multiple divisions. The candidate will work closely with the strategy and technology groups to ensure EMS creates products that are technically cogent and achieve strategic goals defined for the business while driving market awareness.

We seek a candidate eager to join a start-up atmosphere – supporting solutions that span adoption cycles from deep adoption in a change use case to solutions at the tipping point of market adoption to new solutions yet to be imagined. Strong product and marketing industry expertise in critical. The Vice President of Product Management and Marketing, will have strategy and execution responsibilities across multiple product suite solutions. High emphasis on marketing data and analytics across all applicable data types within regulatory parameters.

A successful candidate is:

 Product expert – years of experience in the marketing services industry with deep knowledge of market dynamics, stakeholders, competitors and emerging players.
 Market Facing – externally focused with demonstrated marketing materials and client/partner engagement, joint strategy and partnership development
 Collaborator – strong partnering skills with others including fellow team members, peers, key stake holders; able to build relationships & connects ideas across internal and external opportunities 
Curious – willing to take risks, be bold, empowering and tenacious, challenge traditional approaches, inquisitive with a penchant for seeking new opportunities

 Team Leader- building strong team composition; developing team; establishing clear goals and objectives

Responsibilities include: 

Identify significant long-term opportunities based on research, analysis and a strategic view of the direction of the market and business goals
 Market assessment and requirements including opportunity size, competitive analysis, target customers and product requirements
 Synthesize both qualitative and quantitative feedback on product from clients, partners and sales
 Manage product alphas and betas to direct product refinements and identify critical client needs that must be met by the product in order to launch
 Define and manage comprehensive go-to-market strategy and plan including positioning, launch strategy, PR, sales and partner materials
 Manage the product launch process. Coordinate and manage cross-functional teams (including PR, design, product, and engineering stakeholders) to deliver world-class products to the market
 Introduce and deliver prioritized features and corresponding justification
 Build high performing, bold, committed team. Foster collaborative approach that pushes boundaries
 Own business metrics for customer engagement & satisfaction, product usage and revenue 
Work with external third parties to assess partnerships, licensing and acquisition opportunities
 Identify opportunities to retire products based on P&L analysis
 Run beta and pilot programs with early-stage products and samples
 Be an expert with respect to the industry, competition and emerging players
 Act as a leader within the Experian and the industry
 
Work with other Experian business units to create the best and broadest possible relationships with the data, platform and services marketing industry
 Given the strategic role we play in our clients’ business decision making, you are expected to work at senior levels and demonstrate obvious confidence in this environment. 
Define the strategy for campaigns and articulate the brand voice and tone throughout all work.
 Responsible for planning, production and execution of campaigns and programs.
 Lead our internal team and agency to ensure on time delivery of the work.
 Drive the teams forward across campaigns and partner on work through launch and sustain periods.
 Support and help define an entirely new engagement and relationship model with the agencies and external partners.
 Ensure delivery of outstanding communications plans
 Establish critical metrics for campaigns to track performance and input into ongoing campaign development and planning
 Continuously evaluate advertising work, teams, processes, and agency resources to ensure quality, timely and efficient delivery of campaigns.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s/Advanced degree
 10+ years’ experience leading product and marketing organizations with a strong focus on internal and client relationship management. 
Have an intimate knowledge and experience of the marketing industry, players, data and marketing analytics
 Ability to grasp strategic initiatives of target accounts and to formulate project / product offerings effectively. 
Leadership and consensus-building abilities with a proven track record of coordinating and mobilizing resources productively. 
Proven success navigating large, matrixed organizations
 Experience in handling complex and large datasets
 Highly professional and credible - interacting at all levels both internally and externally
Self-starter, comfortable to start projects from a blank sheet of paper
Proven success representing a large diverse organization.
