Product Manager, Partner Central At Expedia

Location: Chicago, Illinois

Job Description

Expedia

As part of Expedia Lodging Product Team, you will articulate, define and grow the product portfolio of Analytic solutions that we offer to our partners through the PartnerCentral portal.

Your charter will be to find innovative ways to use data to craft products that help our hotel partners drive more revenue through our platform.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead end-to-end product delivery, from idea to roll-out, ensuring performance objectives are met.
  • Drive communications across multiple teams and geographies including engineering, product and marketing counterparts to define product release requirements.
  • Utilize your technical savviness and knowledge of agile methodologies to help shape premier products
  • Collaborate closely with Expedia’s Lodging Partner Services team and deepen your understanding of the various productivity optimization techniques for account management organizations
  • Engage with our hotel partners to understand their needs in term of data and the business problem they are trying to solve for
  • Assess the opportunities behind each need and transform them into clear business requirements
  • Define and prioritize the product roadmap
  • Write functional specifications to drive the tools’ new development while effectively handling the trade-offs between cost/schedule versus user benefit.
  • Work with our software engineers to get new features developed and released to live site.
  • Monitor the data accuracy and ensure regular bug prioritization/fix.
  • Define and implement great “Go To Market” strategies to ensure wide adoption of our product and ensure that all internal and external partners are aware of the product’s latest improvements
  • Conduct competitor and industry research to establish benchmarks for system design and performance

Who You Are:

  • You possess a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Operations Research, Engineering or Business management
  • 2+ year of work experience in a Product or Project management role, preferably with an online retail, hospitality industry or data management company
  • Self-motivated and able to handle multiple tasks and deadlines at a time in a dynamic environment
  • Strong organizational skills, with experience leading a portfolio of projects from inception through delivery
  • Ability to prioritize workload and delegate effectively
  • First-class leadership and influencing skills, including the ability to effectively influence individuals that do not directly report to you
  • Experience leading multi-functional projects or teams and managing large numbers of partners.
  • Extraordinary grasp of business strategy and technical concepts
  • Strong interest for new technologies and data analytics
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Good experience with MS Office and SQL.
