Junior Account Manager (Toronto) At Expedia

Job Description

Expedia

The Associate Market Manager’s primary responsibility in his/hers assigned territory is to onboard, develop and maintain a high-quality portfolio of hotel products (i.e. relevant, attractive and competitive) for Expedia’s fast-growing global customer base. In doing so, you will also continuously work with Expedia LPS’ hotel partners to help them maximize the production potential from their participation in the Expedia marketplace by utilizing the power of Expedia LPS’ unique data insights, marketing, distribution and revenue management toolset.


What you'll do

  • Develop and sustain strong partner relationships by providing relevant data insights and high-quality consulting services to hotel partners (revenue management advice, marketing opportunities)
  • Build the portfolio of local hotel partners by introducing prospective partners to Expedia’s marketplace and facilitate their onboarding process
  • Ensure that partner hotels’ products (content, rates and availability) are consistently optimized on the Expedia sites to maximize customer conversion
  • Secure additional lodging rates and availability information over high demand and compression periods to satisfy customers’ pressing needs
  • Secure seasonal deals and promotions within the guidelines set by management to support the brands’ merchandising and marketing efforts.
  • Continuously promote and develop hotel partners’ high engagement with Expedia’s full suite of:
    • Unique market insights (partner reports, competitive data, key performance drivers)
    • Revenue management tools (dynamic promotions, packages, fenced deals, mobile)
    • Marketing and merchandising opportunities
    • Specialized brands (e.g. Egencia, Hotwire, Media Solutions) potential opportunities
    • Self-service tools (Expedia Partner Central)



Who you are

  • Bachelor’s Degree; or equivalent
  • 1-2 years’ experience
  • 20 – 30% of travel for market visits
  • Weekly visits to your assigned portfolio of hotels
  • Possess a strong drive for results
  • High impact personality: intellectual agility, entrepreneurship, empathy in relationships, great teammate
  • Hungry, determined, motivated, willing to take action and results-focused

Le rôle principal du responsable adjoint du marché est de constituer, de développer et de maintenir un portefeuille de produits hôteliers de grande qualité (c.-à-d. pertinents, attrayants et concurrentiels) dans le territoire qui lui est assigné afin de répondre aux besoins de la clientèle mondiale à expansion rapide d’Expedia. Pour ce faire, il travaillera constamment avec les partenaires hôteliers d’Expedia afin de les aider à optimiser le rendement potentiel issu de leur participation au marché d’Expedia en tirant avantage des outils uniques de gestion des données, du marketing, de la distribution et des revenus de LPS.


Ce qui vous attend

  • Développer et entretenir des relations solides avec les partenaires en offrant des informations et des services de consultation de haute qualité aux partenaires hôteliers (conseils pour la gestion des revenus, occasions de marketing)
  • Constituer le portefeuille de partenaires hôteliers locaux en ajoutant des partenaires potentiels au marché Expedia et en facilitant leur intégration
  • S’assurer que les produits des partenaires hôteliers (contenu, tarifs et disponibilités) sont toujours optimisés sur les sites d’Expedia de façon à maximiser le taux de conversion des clients
  • Obtenir une garantie de tarifs d’hébergement et d’informations sur la disponibilité lors des périodes de forte demande et d’offre limitée afin de répondre aux besoins pressants des clients.
  • Obtenir une garantie d’offres saisonnières et de promotions qui respectent les directives définies par la direction afin d’appuyer les efforts des marques en matière de marketing et de mise en marché
  • Favoriser et développer la participation des partenaires hôteliers à l’aide des ressources d’Expedia :
    • Renseignements propres au marché (rapports des partenaires, données sur la concurrence, inducteurs de rendement clés)
    • Outils de gestion des revenus (promotions dynamiques, forfaits, offres restreintes, promotions pour appareils mobiles)
    • Occasions de marchandisage et de marketing
    • Possibilités d’affaires de marques spécialisées (p. ex. Egencia, Hotwire, Media Solutions)
    • Outils libre-service (Expedia Partner Central)

Aptitudes et expérience

  • Baccalauréat (ou équivalent)
  • 1 à 2 ans d’expérience
  • Visites hebdomadaires aux hôtels de votre portefeuille
