Looking to join a team selling high-end luxury travel, Classic Vacations is looking for ambitious Staff Accountant. We are looking for a hardworking individual to join our organization and revitalize our record keeping and bring more organization to our day to day financials.

WHO YOU (CANDIDATE) ARE:

  • You have a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and at least 3-5 years of related experience
  • You have strong analytical skills and ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment
  • You can demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Flexible and adaptable: you should be able to switch gears in various high-stress situations and apply themselves to quickly learning new technologies and embracing new methodologies.
  • Attention to detail: you should pay attention to detail and take great pride in getting it right

WHAT YOU WILL DO/ROLE & RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Balance daily/monthly complex cash activity to internal system reports. Identify/resolve discrepancy before posting journals
  • Perform month-end close process. Ensure all journal entries are posted appropriately in accordance with GAAP
  • Reconcile accounts, ensuring SL detail supports GL balance and independently researching exceptions
  • Serve as liaison with parent company. Maintain the journal entry upload template
  • Perform accounts receivable functions on monthly basis to ensure all invoices are created and properly recognized. Work directly with collections specialist to resolve variances
  • Review process improvement and document procedures
  • Assist the manager in various other ad hoc projects as needed
