Position Summary: Assist branch sales personnel in the layout of fire alarm systems. Provide technical support for the layout of systems, the selection of proper equipment and the estimation of the required labor costs to complete the project. Assist in the completion of large system proposals. Drop off plans to the city when CSC is busy. Perform site surveys and provide documentation. Track existing submitttals and build repoar with AHJs. Manage WIP fire process to ensure reps and clients are updated. This position will require driving.
Job Duties:Layout the access control, burglar, CCTV and fire alarm systems. Conduct field surveys for proper equipment use, labor and design. Determine the use and needs for system take-overs and tenant improvements. Provide equipment list and technical oversight in production of large system proposals. Obtain bids for labor from contractors. Mark-up plans for installation and production of shop drawings. Responsible for design of automatic fire alarm systems. Apply codes and AHJ requirements to design process. All other miscellaneous projects and duties as assigned.
Requirements:Experience in Fire Alarm systems (Install, Service and Testing) 3-5 years preferred.
