The Senior Manager, Therapy Marketing & Communications’ primary responsibility will be to develop integrated marketing communication plans and deliver tactics and collaterals to support best-in-class commercialization for the Advanced Surgery business. This includes developing a portfolio approach to communication strategies and campaigns.
This person will leverage medical/clinical and commercial insights (partnering with Medical Affairs, Global product managers, and Country teams) to develop and execute a clinically based portfolio marketing and integrated communication plan.
This position requires a person who can lead a cross functional team in driving therapeutic specialty solutions and integrated campaigns across the portfolio.
This position will interface with global thought leaders, global advocacy associations, Baxter leadership, Regulatory, Medical Affairs, and Global Product Managers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Translate the science into actionable and impactful marketing and communication strategies and tactics that resonate with core physician targets
Enhance portfolio value proposition messaging and develop and implement integrated communication plan for key therapeutic specialty areas for product lines to maximize cross selling opportunities and to drive growth. Measure success through key metrics.
Work closely with Global Product Managers, Medical Affairs and other key cross functional constituents to develop and implement integrated communication plans and campaigns based on existing and newly released evidence base.
Work cross functionally to develop integrated communication and campaign plans to support increased therapy adoption.
Develop relationships with therapy thought leaders as well as organize and lead physician advisory boards. Strategically build and leverage customer advocates to reinforce key messages.
Partner with global training initiatives to ensure consistency of brand and product positioning throughout all regions.
Contribute to strategic plan development and coordinate input and alignment of efforts with global & regional teams
Manage one direct report (current structure) and external vendors to assist with overall communication plans, campaigns and strategies
Manage the planning and execution of the Advertising and approval process for the Advanced Surgery business with global oversight and providing direction and guidance to the regional teams.
Exceptional communication skills, strategic planning abilities and business acumen.
Established track record in leading projects to successful completion and working with experienced teams (internal and external resources) related to integrated communication strategies and campaign implementation
Strong ability to understand market trends, financial data, customer needs, and assess competitive intelligence data and incorporate them into integrated communication plans and campaigns
Ability to develop and execute communication plans, messaging and branding campaigns.
Strong skills in the areas team building, interpersonal skillsets and creative product/program development.
Education and/or Experience
Master’s degree preferred with 5-8 years of experience in marketing;
Health-care/medical device industry experience is a benefit.
Proven track record in successfully launching and executing integrated communication plans and campaigns
Background in brand marketing, marketing communication and/or agency experience is a plus.
