Position Overview

  • Position Baxter as the customer’s first choice through strengthening customer relationships above and beyond standard practices which may include expanded offerings, differentiation by segment, customized customer service, and dedicated customer partnership throughout the customer life cycle.
  • Responsible for creating Baxter’s value proposition for customers based on VOC (voice of customer), market research, and deep customer knowledge, products, and service offerings.
  • Also responsible for creating the brand marketing short- and long-term plans and leading the Marketing Communications team for the U.S. Hospital Products business.
  • Reports to the VP, Marketing.

Critical Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement Baxter’s value proposition to U.S. Hospital Products (USHP) customers based on customers’ needs and short- and long-term level of partnership with Baxter
  • Utilize a data-driven approach in aligning Baxter’s capabilities with the focus of customers’ accounts, and emphasize key aspects that drive value clinically, operationally and economically to more effectively compete and earn business
  • Simplify and delight customers in how they do business with Baxter as a differentiator
  • Cultivate innovation for USHP enterprise customer solutions while also identifying niche solutions for individual customers
  • Drive the development and implementation of practical solutions to address business objectives and goals. Convert strategy into action.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key customers to gain insights and identify opportunities to differentiate Baxter from competitors
  • Create the brand marketing short and long-terms plans to improve customers experience
  • Lead the Marketing Communications team with responsibility for conventions and congresses
  • Partner with Business unit Leaders for KOL development
  • Support new product launches (NPL) in partnership with the NPL lead and the Business Unit P&L owners to create marketing materials and customer experience
  • Lead the Net Promotor Score program and drive alignment to best demonstrated practices

Key Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in VOC market research and improving customer experience in Medication Delivery and Pharmaceutical US markets
  • Strong ability to understand market trends, financial data, customer needs, and assess competitive intelligence data
  • Strong understanding of the U.S. market environment, business and product strategies
  • Excellent skills, knowledge and experience in creative program development and problem solving
  • Solid business acumen and financial acumen
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including presentation, negotiation, and collaboration
  • Ability to work across US businesses to ensure that Baxter’s full interests are captured and represented

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required and Master’s preferred
  • Minimum 10 years in the healthcare industry, with 5-8 years of relevant experience that may include marketing, sales, competitive insights and analysis, business and KOL development.
  • Proven track record in effectively launching new programs
  • Proven track record in leading projects to successful completion
  • Background in strategic planning and business development beneficial
