Business Development Mgr San Francisco
Baraja is changing the world of self-driving cars, through the invention of a new type of LiDAR called Spectrum-Scan which delivers the highest performance available. Already with traction with global auto manufacturers, funding from leading VC’s including Sequoia China, we are now searching for a Business Development Manager in the US. This is a newly created role based upon growth and success of the business.
Baraja is based out of Sydney, Australia and operates globally with offices in the US and China. Our team is PhD heavy, with a mix of strong commercial experience combined with an Australia culture of honesty, passion and humility. We have a global perspective and team, our VP of Business Development is based in San Francisco, where this role will be ideally located and report to.
The BD team is responsible for all customer interactions from first contact to close of sale and beyond, building long-standing customer relationships, understanding customer needs, painpoints & deployment plans and bringing market feedback to the product team. A passion for autonomous vehicles is a must. You will enjoy traveling to meet and follow up with customers, providing product demonstrations to both technical and business stakeholders. In this role you will have the potential to make a significant impact on the future of the business.
Your role will involve, but not be limited to:
Driving the sales process from first contact through deal close and repeat business,
Product presentations and demonstrations to prospective customers,
Developing fine-tuned customer insight: drive hard to understand the problems the customer is trying to solve, how customer decisions are made, create strong connections with key customer stakeholders on both technical and business sides,
Maintaining and communicating up-to-date sales pipeline,
Attend and present at conferences & tradeshows to generate leads, increase company visibility, and promote thought leadership in the sector,
You will need:
Willingness to travel to customer sites throughout the US and occasional overseas travel.
