This position will work directly with the Sr. Corporate Controller to ensure GAAP and SOX compliance, and monitoring, as well, as ensuring Finance policies and procedures are current and meaningful. This role will be responsible for all investment recording and reporting activity along with the recording and reporting of other designated general ledger accounts. In addition, this role will act as the Bethesda Corporate Finance liaison in addition to working with other members of the Finance teams to support various projects and initiatives and the delivery of reliable accounting information.
Bachelor of Science - BS. Certified Public Accountant - CPA. Minimum 7 years experience in the Accounting area or related field, preferably in public accounting with a Big 4 accounting firm. Highly proficient in Excel, Access, and other financial software programs. PeopleSoft and Oracle Business Intelligence (OBI) skills preferred. Must be detail-oriented and capable of working independently, while multi-tasking in an intellectually intense and fast-paced environment within a complex matrix-structured organization. Good communication skills, self starter, resourceful, with excellent work ethic, able to handle a variety of assignments and prioritize work to meet deadlines with a demonstrated ability to drive projects to conclusion. Excellent interpersonal skills with all levels of the organization. Collaborative, strong cross-functional teaming skills. Motiviated to learn and willingness to tackle a variety of assignmnts from routine tasks to more intricate requests. Ability to problem solve, drive results, and work with limited direction.
