AECOM is seeking a Joint Venture Accountant to join our federal governmant controllership team. The Joint Venture Accountant is responsible for of maintaining 15 to 20 joint ventures' financial books of simple to advanced complexity. The role requires all aspects of accounting from AP/AR, Projects and General Ledger, including month end accruals and financial statement preparation.
Responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
+ Preparing monthly financial statements and reporting packages
+ Processing invoices, payments, and monthly journal entries
+ Monitoring, analyzing, and reconciling various balance sheet accounts
+ Working with internal customers to gather and provide information
+ Maintaining accounting controls and company policies
+ Prepare departmental reporting/reconciliations as assigned
+ BA/BS + 4 YORE of demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
+ Due to the nature of this position and sensitivity of information, US Citizenship is required.
+ Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is required.
+ Understanding of the fundamentals of accounting, financial reporting under US GAAP.
+ Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
+ Consistently meets deadlines on a timely basis.
+ Ability to analyze and interpret data, and effectively communicate findings/results.
+ Must be a proactive self-starter with the ability to work independently and multi-task.
+ Advanced computer skills, to include Excel skills (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, IF, Macros). Hands-on experience with ORACLE financial reporting system a plus.
+ Experience with government/federal contracts highly desirable.
