AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Entry Level Environmental Engineer or Scientist for employment in the Calgary, AB office. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
+ Perform various field tasks, such as contractor oversight, field screening, and sample collection.
+ Communicate and interact effectively and successfully with fellow AECOM employees and contractors.
+ Record data neatly, accurately, and legibly.
+ Potentially work outdoors at project sites for a significant portion of the year.
+ BA/BS + None or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
+ Bachelor's degree in geology, environmental science or other related discipline (e.g., civil engineering, geophysics, hydrogeology, geochemistry, environmental geology, engineering geology, environmental engineering).
+ General knowledge of basic geologic principles and the environmental sciences.
+ Proficiency in standard office suite software applications.
+ Ability to demonstrate professional demeanor in written and verbal communications with clients, regulatory officials, and fellow employees.
+ Ability to write and to convey complex thoughts and ideas in a clear, concise manner. Ability to learn through on-the-job experience.
+ Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds and safely drive a full-size pickup truck.
+ Tolerance for work in outdoor environments in a range of weather conditions and be medically fit for wearing a respirator.
+ Ability to maintain a valid driver's license.
+ Ability to conform to AECOM Travel Policies, including ability to obtain and hold the AECOM corporate credit card for use in making travel-related purchases.
+ Ability to travel, including extended travel, when necessary.
