AECOM is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer. This position is part of the Construction Management team on the MTA Capital Construction East Side Access Project, a multi-billion dollar rail improvement project improving mobility within the Long Island Transportation Corridor-specifically commuter rail access between Long Island and the East Side of Midtown Manhattan.
Electrical Engineer working with the construction management on East Side Access project responsibilities include:
- Oversee submittals process for all electrical shop drawings, material submittals, testing procedures and test reports.
- Review daily inspection reports to ensure work is performed in accordance with contract documents. Identify potential issues and communicate with inspectors and contractor to resolve issues in the field in a
- Witness factory and field Electrical Equipment and System testing and develop methods to track progress of field installation and field testing
- Review Electrical commercial issues to mitigate potential delays and cost impacts. If a change order is required: prepare change order request and assist in estimation and negotiations and modification process.
+ BA/BS + 4 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
+ Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
+ Experience in transportation projects and mass transit facilities.
+ Knowledge and experience with projects in the New York area.
