AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Electrical Engineering Intern for employment in the Burnaby, BC office.
Working with other members of our team, you'll provide electrical and I&C designs for various types of clients and projects in the Water industry. During your time with us, you will also have the opportunity prepare engineering specifications, data sheets, sketches, drawings and perform calculations in support of engineering activities involving power and control distributions systems. The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
+ Builds analytic and design skills.
+ Assist the design team achieving engineering deliverables (drawings, specifications and reports) comply with applicable regulations, design standards, corporate quality procedures and sound engineering practices.
+ Support engineering design activities under the supervision of an experienced designer / engineer.
+ Creates sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
+ Collects data under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
+ Uses computer software (Office & Autodesk CAD) as a tool for solving basic engineering problems.
+ Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule under supervision.
+ AA/AS (US) + None or Diploma/Certification (Canada) + None
+ Currently a rising Junior or Senior pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university
+ Familiar with AutoCAD
