TAMS (An AECOM Company) is seeking a Document Controller to join our team at our IOL Sarnia Project. This position will support the 2019 Spring Turnaround Quality Team.
Reporting to the Quality Lead, the Document Controller is responsible for the processing, issuing and/or reproduction and filing of engineering and construction documents/records to insure accuracy and timeliness. Ensures proper tracking and filing of all documents received by company from the client and any other suppliers. This may include maintaining a complete database and library of all drawings, specifications and standards as received by the company project team.
+ Review company and client turnover requirement
+ Familiarize with the quality related processes and procedures
+ File turnover documents progressively within relevant section of the binder.
+ Assists with the turnover and document control activities with maintaining all document control records.
+ Assist the Document Control and Quality Team with assembling turnover packages, as required.
+ Build Turnover binders complete with Table of Contents
+ Assists Turnover Coordinator or Project Manager with ensuring the turnover processes are followed and contract deliverables are supplied on schedule.
+ Ensure proper tracking and filing of all documents received by the Client and any other Suppliers/Vendors.
+ Ensure proper tracking and record keeping for all documents from the Client's project management team including Request for Information (RFIs), Non-compliance Reports (NCRs), as built and turnover documents.
+ Maintain a database and library of all drawings, specifications and standards as received by the company Project Team.
+ Administrative duties as assigned.
+ Data entry of all documents into company SharePoint document control or Electronic Document management system.
+ Maintain the data entry process for archiving documents.
+ Assist in creating transmittals, copying of documents, creation of binders, electronic filing, etc.
+ Collaborate with other functions to enhance project success as required by the Technical Services Lead.
+ Adhere to the exchange of information system between Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Discipline Coordinators, Document Control and the Client.
+ Assist in the exchange turnover information between various functions.
+ Assist the turnover group to report turnover progress and coordinate with client/construction/quality to ensure delivery of turnover documentation as per schedule.
+ Participates in the Risk and lessons learned process and assist in driving proposed changes that will enhance the project's success.
+ Attend and contribute information during team meetings with regards to current/outstanding issues and/or weekly progress.
+ Participate in internal & external audits.
+ Complete and submit monthly documents to the appropriate departments. (E.g., timesheets, expense reports, etc.).

+ Bachelor's Degree + 2 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and / or education.
+ This position will be required to drive a vehicle on behalf of AECOM and therefore will require the candidate to submit a satisfactory driver's abstract for review.
