Business Intelligence Report Developer At AECOM

Location: United States, Canada

Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Business Intelligence (BI) Report Developer to join the team at our Calgary or Edmonton, Alberta location, on a 5 day on 2 day off schedule. This is a Full-Time position.

Reports to the Director, IT, with responsibility for development, maintenance, integration, data governance and data reporting. BI report developer assists business with the analysis, prioritization and planning of BI enhancements and upgrades.

We are accepting applicants who are willing to work remotely from any location throughout Canada.

Responsibilities:
+ Support the development and maintenance of integrations and reports for Deltek Costpoint & Cosnos BI.

+ Develop business intelligence tools and reports.

+ Responsible for gathering and defining reporting needs for better business decision making.

+ Implement and support BI solutions.

+ Participate in the design, development, and analysis of data architecture.

+ Create technical documentations.

+ Works closely with key business stakeholders across all business functions on defining data needs and provide guidance to meet business objectives.

+ Provide Agile methodology, presenting and delivering best solution possible.

+ Relies on advanced knowledge, within the scope of the position and often handles moderately complex tasks.

+ May review work of other employees and resolve any identified issues unilaterally or with the assistance of a Manager.

+ Advises and participates in the planning, development of strategy and policy related to discipline.

+ Works under general or limited supervision.

+ May carry out and provide reporting for special projects with limited supervision.

+ Coach and mentor junior developers, if and when required.

2. Qualified applicants who are offered, and accept, a position must provide evidence of a satisfactory Alcohol & Drug test in accordance with the Company's Alcohol & Drug Policy. In order to be valid, the test must have been conducted at the direction of AECOM - O&G Business Unit.

Minimum Requirements

+ Bachelor's Degree + 6 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

+ Previous experience as a Business Intelligence developer implementing successful enterprise BI solutions.

+ Demonstrates emotional intelligence, behavioral aptitude, and personal strength to deliver professional standards of care.

+ Demonstrates consistency and utilizes clear judgment

+ Demonstrates consistent, effective and efficient written and oral communications skills.

+ Expresses ideas, exercises sound judgment, and is and effective listener.

+ Excellent organization skills, self-motivated, and detailed oriented.

+ Strong team player must be able to build collaborative relationships with others.

+ Demonstrates energy, commitment on self-development, and works towards continuous improvement.

+ Proficient with the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

+ Ability to model data coming in from different data sources into BI technologies and accommodate the self-service reporting by internal users.

+ Proficient with Congos SQL BI.

+ Ability to design and code stored procedures, functions, views and other DB objects.

+ Ability to design and implement core BI framework to drive analytics across the organization.

+ Excellent knowledge in designing and delivery of Power BI Reports, Dashboards, Datasets and related applications.

+ Experience with Integration tools and related technologies will be a plus.

+ Knowledge and exposure to Cloud Integration concepts & fundamentals.

Preferred Qualifications

+ Previous experience in working on several digital transformation projects required across multiple service lines.

+ Previous experience with Costpoint system is preferred.
