Sales Representative (GTA or Montreal) At 3M

Location: Milton, Ontario

Job Description

3M is seeking a Sales Representative in the Greater Toronto or Montreal area. Primary focus will be on selling 3M Scotchgard™ Paint Protection Film and software solutions into the Automotive Dealership and Installation markets. Make an impact by representing and selling 3M products and solutions through various channels, while also providing training and technical support. If you have the capacity to learn, and are a seasoned sales representative, knowledge in the automotive paint protection space is an asset, but not required. The territory is Central & Eastern Canada, from Ontario to the Maritimes.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead the sales efforts of 3M Paint Protection Film into assigned geographical areas
  • Perform hands-on product demonstrations, training and technical support to customers with regards to paint protection film installation and software technical support
  • Implement OEM aftermarket accessory programs, plans, and policies as outlined by leadership
  • Develop territory priorities, frequencies, and call patterns to ensure effectiveness and meet sales targets
  • Manage a Salesforce.com opportunity pipeline
  • Seek out adjacent market opportunities and capitalize on them
  • Work with the US team members when required, and participate on monthly US team calls

Basic Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education from an accredited institution
  • Demonstrated exposure to the full sales process, from cold calling to educating and selling customers on a product system
  • Mechanical aptitude and comfort level within the automotive environments
  • Strong automotive aftermarket passion with an eye for attention to detail
  • Bilingual English/French is an asset

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Able to collaborate and build strong relationships at all levels of the organization, in Canada and globally
  • Excellent communication, strategic prospecting, and presentation/public speaking skills
  • Experience within the automotive industry and automotive dealerships is an asset
  • Post-sales relationship management
  • Comfortable in large territories with aggressive competition

Travel: In this role, you will be required to travel approximately 70% of the time, which will involve multiple overnight stays within Central & Eastern Canada. Travel to the US may be required. Eastern Canada will encompass approximately 20% of the travel. A valid driver’s license is required.
