Business Development Representative At 3D Hubs

Location: Chicago, Illinois

Job Description

Are you looking to make a career in sales and have a passion for engineering? Eager to get parts into the latest Tesla car, or NASA rocket? As 3D Hubs’ Business Development Representative US this is exactly what you’ll be doing.

The face of manufacturing is changing and 3D Hubs’ distributed manufacturing network is right at the forefront. We are looking for an energetic Business Development Representative to join our sales team in the US.
As the Business Development Representative you will reach out to brand new potential companies and work together with their engineering and purchasing teams to land the first deal!
Top performing Business Development Representatives will have the opportunity to work their way up to become 3D Hubs Account Executives.

You will:

  • Via outbound (list building) and inbound (marketing qualified leads) channels use sales tactics to get a new customer to place their first order on 3D Hubs
  • Identify and qualify the new companies that have the potential to become high spending accounts
  • Actively track and measure your sales approach to report what is working and what is not

  • A passion for a career in sales - Bonus points: sales experience.
  • A passion for engineering, specifically manufacturing. You’ll be required to learn everything there is to know about our 4 core manufacturing technologies (3DP, CNC, IM and sheet metal), as well as about the manufacturing processes of our clients - Bonus points: an engineering degree.
  • An extrovert and helpful personality. You’ll need to pick up the phone and communicate with our clients as a core part of your job, while having the ability to listen and relate to customers needs.
  • A strong motivation to achieve ambitious sales targets (quota driven) Excellent communication skills, in both written and verbal communication
