Overview

3 Nations Society is seeking an energetic and self-motivated Executive Director who may execute their duties anywhere in B.C. as long as they are willing to travel to the North as responsibilities require.

The 3 Nations Society, founded in 2009, is a partnership between the Tahltan, Kaska and Tlingit Nations. Since 2018, 3 Nations Society and the B.C. Government have been working together to implement the 3 Nations Society's strategic plan including Government-to-Government initiatives/ agreements and follow a process that is consistent with the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP)

Reporting to the Tahltan, Kaska, Tlingit 3 Nations Society Board of Directors, the Executive Director has a critical role in administration and oversight of the 3 Nations Society programs to ensure that the 3 Nations Society's mission is fulfilled through programs, policy development, strategic planning and community outreach. Key Executive Director responsibilities also include Board Governance, Financial Performance and Organizational Viability, Organizational Mission and Strategy and Organization Operations.

Qualifications

• A level of education, training and experience equivalent to a master's degree in an organizational development discipline; and
• Ten (10) to fifteen (15) years' progressive senior management experience in a management setting.

Skills and Abilities

• Sound working knowledge of planning concepts related to governance, budgetary, staffing, performance management, policy development, program delivery, quality and strategic initiatives.
• Have progressive leadership abilities and can work effectively in a team environment with a Board of Directors, community members and staff;
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to adapt readily to rapid and changing environments
• Ability to interact professionally with various levels of staff both internally and externally
• In-depth understanding of health services and operations
• Have strong knowledge of social and economic issues facing First Nations
• Appreciation of indigenous communities and their cultures
• Ability to travel

Salary: $100,000.00 to $130,000.00 /year

Experience:

• Management: 10 years (Preferred)
