Vice President, Marketing At 1WorldSync

Job Description

Are you an excellent Marketing leader with a breadth of experience at Saas organizations? Are you an established leader who can implement a strategic marketing plan that benefits our brand and our company as a whole?

If this sounds like you, we have an excellent opportunity for you. At 1WorldSync, we are looking for a VP of Marketing to join our leadership team. As a member of the Leadership Team reporting to the CEO, the VP of Marketing will direct and oversee our Marketing operation. You will design, implement and monitor effective marketing strategies that align with our business goals and objectives for strengthening the company’s market positioning. The Vice President of Marketing has overall responsibility for product and company positioning and messaging.

This leader will be responsible for developing and implementing a strategic marketing plan to increase brand awareness, drive revenue and increase product and services adoption by customers and prospects. You will be an advocate and influencer for the customer journey to be frictionless. You will champion technology in lieu of manual processes, collaborating and coordinating with other functions, to deliver qualified prospects as well as excellent customer experiences for maintaining and upselling accordingly. This is a strategic role that calls for a hands on leader to balance thought leadership with executable plans, covering the day-to-day through longer term business goals. Complete fiscal responsibility for designing and reviewing the Marketing groups plan and actuals during the year.

As our VP of Marketing, a typical day might include the following:

  • Working closely with Product, Technology, Sales and Operations functions in the execution of the following areas of responsibility:
    • Leading Brand and Positioning, Communication and Public Relations, Website and Event Management
    • Designing and implementing successful marketing campaigns
    • Leading marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration and digital sales techniques.
    • Driving principles and processes for providing mapping and executing complete customer journey, including the deployment of the customer and journeys into automated campaigns that can be deployed on marketing technology
    • Define and measure key performance metrics that will provide visibility into Marketing function to measure the effectiveness of the resource against specific goals.
    • Leading a marketing team and coordinating with leadership on; strategic planning, resource allocation and continual resource load balancing.

To be successful in this position you must have:

  • 10+ years of marketing experience with progressive track record of goal attainment and increased leadership responsibility. Proven leadership as VP of Marketing, Marketing Director or other senior role with a portfolio of demonstrated success.
  • Has led a Saas marketing organization during a time of transformational change and high growth.
  • Knowledge and experience in B2B and B2B2C in Fast Moving Consumer Goods space.
  • Multiple years of experience working in a multi-national SaaS environment strongly preferred.
  • Solid knowledge of SEO campaigns, web analytics and Google AdWords
  • Experience with CRM software and digital marketing tools and techniques
  • Prior P&L responsibility desired.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field ideal. MBA degree a plus.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and project management skills
  • Strategic mindset, with ability to make difficult decisions and optimize resources
  • Proven capability to work well under pressure and within tight deadlines.
  • Ability to interact with a variety of individuals in a courteous, professional manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain excellent long term client relationships.
  • High energy level, comfortable performing multifaceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities from frontline staff and leadership team.
  • Strong business acumen and influence skills. Excellent judgment.
  • Superior reasoning and analytical abilities, along with strong system-level thinking skills.
  • Ability to establish credibility and be decisive and be able to recognize and support the organization's preferences and priorities.
  • Results and people oriented with the ability to balance other business considerations.
  • Service oriented yet assertive/persuasive.
