About the role:

1010data is seeking an ambitious and high-energy sales intern to support the company's sales objectives. You will work directly with the VP Sales and his Sales Management team, and engage directly with other sales roles, including engagement with prospective clients, including outbound sales communications via email and Linkedln, phone calls and online presentations. The intern hired for this position will help create identify and track sales leads, perform prospect research and list crunching, generate sales reporting, evaluate success, trends and failures of sales campaigns, assist with sales forecasting, strategies and tactics thus gaining valuable sales experience. The intern should be well organized and be prepared to work in a fast-paced and dynamic team environment. The intern chosen for this position will finish their internship at 1010data having gained a broad experience in various aspects of sales and sales development.
Please note our summer internship program is open to students graduating from Dec 2019 to May 2020.

What you will take on:

- Learn our products, services, industries and operations.
- Learn different aspects of the sales cycle and different techniques used for inside sales, including practical engagement for handling inbound and outbound sales motions
- Research and identify prospects for our 1010discover offering
- Schedule, prepare and conduct prospect presentations
- Enter and update client information in salesforce
- Completes other projects and tasks as assigned.

What you already have:

- Junior or Senior undergraduate students majoring in Business. Mass Communications, Sales, Marketing, Advertising, or a related field with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Positive, professional and outgoing personality with the ability to work both in a team environment and directly with clients.
- Enthusiasm and desire to be successful in business development and sales.
- Naturally curious to build knowledge and learn.
- Self-starter that is punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Highly organized, persuasive and good with numbers.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills.
- Strong ability to be flexible and multi-task.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, social media tools (Linkedln, Twitter, Google+).
- Customer relationship management (CRM) - we use Salesforce - a plus
